What’s Great About The Mueller 255 Lumbar Support Back Brace with Removable Pad, Black, Regular

Lumbar Padding: The lumbar pad is designed to rest on the small of your back, which will offer support and improve your posture as you are sitting, making long periods of sitting a lot more comfortable. You can also remove this pad if you find it annoying or you are trying to do something where it is in your way.

Construction: This is a well-made product that did not cut corners to keep production costs down. The seams are extremely well done, and the stitching does not come loose for almost anything, and this product seems to last an extremely long time until it starts to show signs of stress.

Additional Abdominal Support: While it is a back brace, many people comment that it offers a lot more than that. The compression is apparently just right to make sure that your abdomen is also covered by the brace, granting the trunk of your body 360-degree support, which is great if your job requires a ton of lifting

What’s Not So Great About Mueller 255 Lumbar Support Back Brace with Removable Pad, Black, Regular

Does Not Breathe Well: While it does advertise that it has a highly breathable fabric, a major complaint is that it makes the body too warm for many wearers. This will create a band of sweat and promote slippage and chaffing, so it’s best to wear this product with a layer between you and the product.

Designed For Muscular Issues: While this is a great thing for someone with a problem caused by their muscles, such as spasms, there is little that it can do if you slipped a disc or other spinal issues. They do mention this in their details, but it’s still worth pointing out.

Rigidity: This back brace offers great support, but it’s at the cost of flexibility. If you want to do a lot of bending, you need to make sure that it is down low enough to allow that, and even then, some people just find the level of rigidity to be too much for their comfort, even when they are sitting down.

Is The Mueller 255 Lumbar Support Back Brace with Removable Pad, Black, Regular A Great Purchase?

This back brace would be a good fit for people with muscular issues and are not too slim as to cause issues with slippage. The primary target does seem to be top-heavy women who are suffering from an attempt to compensate for their “gifts” and getting relief from that. This is not a great purchase for the person who is suffering from herniated discs or generally a ruined spine, and in fact, may increase the discomfort due to the level of compression and rigidity. There is a good reason that they suggest on their Amazon page to consult with a doctor before you decide to make this purchase, since it does not offer spinal support as well as some patients are going to need.

It ought to be noted that while it seems to be gender-neutral, women tend to get better results than men. However, there are universally great results with wearing this brace while driving. Consider this one if you spend a lot of time in the car.
