Testing for antinuclear antibodies was negative, and skin biopsies had not yielded a diagnosis. Examination of the skin revealed mottled discoloration over the lower legs; tender, erythematous nodules over the lateral malleoli; and decreased sensation to light touch over both feet. A diagnostic procedure was performed. |
